To increase its impact beyond its own grantmaking, K-CEP aims to leverage financing for implementation of energy efficiency plans, policies, standards, and programs and to widen access to cooling. K-CEP supports efforts to:

  1. Provide technical advice, thereby leveraging investment finance in manufacturing and other cooling business sectors.
  2. Coordinate efforts across multilateral, regional development, and private sector banks to ensure businesses have access to finance.
  3. Create proposals to secure support for energy-efficient cooling from donors, including bilateral agencies, foundations, and multi-donor funds.
  4. Verify emissions reductions.

Support from the K-CEP finance window is expected to be available toward the end of 2017.
